Conservation

I have now retired from conservation

The conservation of furniture was my primary objective. The aim is to stabilise a piece of furniture from deterioration and prevent any further bouts in the future.

By conserving all original material the pieces historical integrity was always maintained.

Any item that came to me for conservation, a full condition report was given with an assessment of any treatment that was required.

This is the foundation where any further work, such as restoration if suitable, would be built on.
